Bought 3, installed 1 in bedroom near access to furnace 1 in kitchen near alcove where the water heater is & 1 upstairs between 2 more bedrooms and near upstairs bathroom. This morning while my twin great granddaughters were getting ready for school (upstairs) heard the alarm on the upstairs detector. Appears that it detected either or both the hair spray/perfume they were using & alarmed. By the time I figured out that it was what I was hearing n went upstairs the meter was counting down and was at 6. Got to 0 and returned to green light status. I'm more than pleased with these units!
